An event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Charles Aznavour birth was organized in Latvia.

On December 13, 2024, a concert and reception dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the world-famous songwriter, poet, and great chansonnier Charles Aznavour took place in the "Little Guild" hall, one of Riga's famous historical buildings. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Lithuania in cooperation with RA Honorary Consul Mkhitar Mkhitaryan, the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, Sports and the "State Philharmonic of Armenia," with the participation of the RA State Jazz Orchestra.

During the concert, renowned Armenian singers Inga Arshakyan and Gor Sujyan performed famous songs from Charles Aznavour's repertoire.

Following the concert, a reception was hosted by the Embassy, during which Ara Margarian, the RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Lithuania, delivered a welcoming speech.

The event's attendees included representatives of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Seimas, ambassadors accredited to Latvia, members of the diplomatic corps, Honorary consuls of the Republic of Armenia in Latvia and Lithuania, artists, journalists, and members of the Armenian community.
